A 2008 ADAC rear crash and fire test* with an opel astra caravan converted to autogas once again confirmed the safety of autogas. The gas tank housed in the spare wheel well in the test was not damaged in the impact. All lines and connectors also remained tight due to the activation of electromagnetic shut-off valves.
