This Wednesday, the church relief organizations "Bread for the World" and Misereor are again asking for support for their projects around the world in the ZDF Donations Gala. The money is used to support disadvantaged people.

In the live broadcast on 2. December moderator Carmen fog expected among other things star tenor Jonas Kaufmann and Show greats such as Paul Young, communicated the two relief organizations on Monday. For "The most beautiful Christmas hits" from 20.15 o'clock would have also Die Hohner, Beatrice Egli, Marianne rose mountain or Hansi Hinterseer agreed to come over with Christmas songs.

The donations go to worldwide project work and are aimed at long-term and sustainable support for disadvantaged people and a dignified life for all, as "Brot fur die Welt" and Misereor explained.

Projects to be presented as examples

Four exemplary projects will be presented in short film clips in the gala broadcast, including the work of the Philippine Misereor partner organization Preda for young women who have experienced sexual violence in poor conditions and have been forced into prostitution. A film also leads to Mozambique, where the "Bread for the World" partner organization Renascer is campaigning against child labor at a garbage dump on the outskirts of the capital Maputo.

Support for people in need is particularly important during the Corona pandemic, the two aid organizations appealed. Almost 2.6 million euros were collected last year.
